Bio

Deshawn Hawthorne, known as Deshawn Da Prince, was originally known as a hip-hop freestyle dancer focusing on styles such as waving, gliding, popping & tutting.

He got his first taste of dance at Devor Dance Center in Jamaica Queens, NY at age five, training in Jazz, Ballet, and African. Five years later he was introduced to Hip Hop, with a group from the same center, Da F.I.R.M. He later joined a crew, G.I.B (Go In Brother), and became choreographer for the group.

Deshawn has danced with artists including Chris Brown, Lil Nas, Christina Aguilera, JidennaKeke Palmer, Lil Mama, and more. Whether choreographing or back up dancing, he has taken on many opportunities in the professional industry. As Deshawn started to focus more on the choreography world, he participated in shows such as Carnival NY & WOD to present his latest works. Through the experience of putting his work forward on those platforms, he attracted work in artist development and creative direction.

Deshawn is currently working in choreography and artist development as well as performing. He travels and teaches worldwide, all while running his New York Hip-Hop company, Royal Thieves, a high-energy dance crew that won Third Place in the U.S division at World Of Dance Finals in California.Deshawn is just getting started. His vision and goals are now clearer than ever.
