Candace Brown is a well-known educator, with over 15yrs of teaching experience. Being faculty at numerous studios across the coasts including Millennium Dance Complex, the original Debbie Reynolds Dance Studio, Movement Lifestyle, Edge PAC, Broadway Dance Center, EXPG NY, and Peridance, has allowed Candace the opportunity to train and mentor some of the best dancers in the industry. She has also taught/assisted on multiple conventions, including Monsters of Hip Hop, Monsters Of Hip Hop A-List, Pulse, Adrenaline, and Intrigue. Candace has also traveled overseas to teach in Spain, Italy, Australia, Africa, Paris, Amsterdam, Japan, Brazil, and more. More recently she has been guest faculty/choreographer at Barnard College and PACE University in NYC.
Candace has had some incredible experiences in her professional career, both as a dancer and choreographer. She has danced for Beyonce, Janet Jackson, Janelle Monae, Jennifer Lopez, and more. She has assisted and danced on “Dancing with the Stars”, “X-Factor”, “Billboard Music Awards”, the “VMA’s”, and Bet’s “Black Girls Rock”. Her choreography credits include Nicole Scherzinger, Jennifer Hudson, Gwen Stefani, the Brooklynettes, KidsBop, and more.
Candace encourages a positive and supportive atmosphere in her classes, and always emphasizes the importance of hard work. She is firm and aspires to challenge each dancer within her choreography, while also inspiring them to find their artistic voice and genuine connection to the art and each other.
