Antonio Martinez is based out of Hollywood, CA and has worked as a Latin Fusion, Partnering, and acro/aerial arts instructor/choreographer throughout the US and abroad. He currently teaches pop-up classes in Aerial Arts, Partnering and Latin Fusion and has been on faculty at Studio School in Los Angels, CA for several years. Antonio’s classes have proven to prepare students for the growing demand of specialty abilities within the commercial dance industry.
Antonio is also an accomplished professional commercial dancer in LA. He first studied Jazz, Ballet, and Musical Theatre Dance at Oklahoma City University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude in a Bachelor of Fine Arts with his Dance Degree and Spanish Language Degree. After touring with West Side Story, Antonio began teaching musical theater jazz classes and workshops for universities and dance schools as well as continually sharing his love for Latin Fusion and Partnering.
Antonio received most of his aerial arts training at Canada’s prestigious Toronto School of Circus Arts. After booking various dance and aerial jobs, Antonio began teaching aerial technique and choreography for Royal Caribbean International Cruise Line and for NCL Entertainment for their full scale production shows. Antonio’s most current acrobatic choreography can be seen in The Masked Singer, America’s Got Talent, The Bellagio’s NYE show with Infiniti Creative starring Bruno Mars & aerial choreographer for Verizon’s “Lo Mejor De Mi Campaign”. He is the Aerial/Specialty choreographer for several production companies, including… Eplus Entertainment, Strong Productions, and Infinity Creative. Antonio’s recent specialty choreography is featured in the opening act for Drake: Live In Concert NYE Show in LA.
Antonio’s experience and understanding of dance and acrobatics allows him to share his knowledge with students of all levels. His teaching stye is similar to his choreography… strong, unique, and exciting while always grounded in clean technique and safety.
