Matt Cady is an American choreographer, born and raised in the San Fernando Valley with influences jazz funk, modern/contemporary, pop jazz, hip hop and theatrical dance elements. He’s been with MSA since 2012, having choreographed for many live stage productions, television shows, music videos, and film.
His latest work includes choreographing Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers’ new satirical awards show The Las Culturistas Award Show, televised on Bravo/Peacock, which included working with Yang + Rogers, Allison Janney, Remi Wolf, and Ben Platt, under the guidance of producers Jane Mun, Lauren Mandel, and directed by SNL royalty Liz Patrick.
Prior to this, he did a 9 month contract as the Resident Choreographer for Madonna’s Celebration World Tour, overseeing staging and choreographic elements, under the direction of Jamie King, Tiff Olson and Lewis James, alongside Megan Lawson, Val Pohl, and La Horde.
Matt also recently choreographed a brand new live show entitled Murder In The Manor, an 80’s inspired murder mystery show, with production company No Ceilings Entertainment for Richard Branson’s Virgin Voyages’, assisted by Gerald Espinosa and Hunter Krikac.
Matt’s calm and decisive demeanor and pragmatic yet pivotable approach allows the artists he curates movement for to feel empowered and unlocked. Notable artists he’s choreographed for include Madonna, Katy Perry, Sofia Boutella, Ariana Grande, Britney Spears, Ed Sheeran, Yelle, etc…
