Emmy nominated and Leo Award-winning choreographer Jeffrey Mortensen began his career for movement and storytelling as a gymnast and Ukrainian dancer in Edmonton. After becoming a principal character in Cirque du Soleil’s the Beatles Love, he placed 3rd on Canada’s Season 3 of So You Think You Can Dance. This catalyzed his career toward film and television.

Credits include Disney’s Zombies 2 and The Descendants franchise, Fox’s Rocky Horror Picture Show, ABC’s Once Upon a Time, Madonna, NBC’s Zoeys Extraordinary Playlist and Paramount Plus’s Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, earning him his first Emmy nomination.

Mortensen also serves as co-chair of UBCP/ACTRA’s dance committee, advocating for dance’s cinematic contribution and significance.
