Jacob Ray is an actor and professional ballet dancer with the Los Angeles Ballet. His journey into teaching began at Dmitri Kulev’s Classical Ballet Academy, where he discovered his unique approach to teaching; a fusion between Russian discipline mixed with a lighthearted, fun demeanor. What sets Jacob apart is his ability to impart not just strong technique, but also a love for dance to students of all levels and ages. His background in gymnastics and the Vaganova style of ballet adds a dynamic flair to his teaching style which emphasizes strong jumps, clean technique, and most of all artistry!
As a professional ballet dancer with the Los Angeles Ballet under the artistic direction of former New York City Ballet dancer, Melissa Barak, Jacob has performed various principal roles in ballets choreographed by Christopher Wheeldon, Val Caniparoli, Hans Van Manen, and George Balanchine.
