Gen Cleary Biography

With 30 years of experience, Gen Cleary brings her innovative and experiential approach to live entertainment as Creative Director and Live Show Producer. Cleary has made an impression in Las Vegas entertainment as the in-house creative director for productions at world-renowned venues such as MGM Grand, Palms Hotel, Hakkasan, Marquee and The Cosmopolitan. She has been referenced as one of the 16 most influential women in
the nightlife industry by Vegas Rated Magazine.

She has been the creative mind behind the shows of DJs such as: Paul Oakenfold’s Perfecto, Kaskade’s Dance. Love, City of Dreams, Atmosphere and Fire and Ice. US Tours and Residencies include Sharam, Benny Benassi, Tiesto, Calvin Harris, David Guetta, Martin Garrix and LMFAO to just name a few, for more than 15 years. She has also added her creative talents to shows for musical artists such as Beyoncé, Coldplay, Rhianna, Fergie and many more. As a versatile director, she has revolutionized Electronic Dance Music (EDM) productions by mixing classic Hollywood musical elements with modern, technical innovations bringing a Broadway theatrical style to the EDM world. She is also renown for activating brands in unique and modern ways through live events and entertainment. She was the in-house European creative mind behind Ford’s launches and worked directly with high end brands such as Chanel, Mercedes Benz, Moet Chadon and Cirque du Soleil just to name a few.

Other credits include creative director and/or choreographer for Disney On Ice 2018 World Tour, 2016 Rio Olympics, 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics and Cirque du Soleil.  First choreographer/artistic director for the “This Is It” Michael Jackson Tribute in Asia starring Asian guest pop star Yunho and So You Think You Can Dance.  Gen has also been instrumental in the opening of more than 50 dayclub/nightclub live show experiences in Turkey, Taiwan, New York etc. and directing and choreographing for the MTV 2009 Musical Group of the year, as well as for Turkish musical group, Manga, for their performance at the Eurovision competition in Norway, making her a bonafide powerhouse around the globe.
