Dario Natarelli is a highly respected tap dance educator, performer, and choreographer with over a decade of teaching experience across the United States. Drawing from his professional career in Broadway and theatrical performance, concert dance, and film & television, Dario brings a unique industry perspective to the classroom, blending technical rigor, focused musicality, and creative freedom and expression, all while honoring the dance and its rich history.

As a teacher, Dario has worked in a wide range of environments, from elite conservatories and professional training programs to community settings for all ages and levels. His adaptability and driven disposition allow him to connect with students anywhere. Dario has taught at institutions and organizations including Broadway Dance Center, The American Tap Dance Foundation, The Louis Armstrong Educational Foundation, convention classes at The Grier School, and workshop classes at Pennsylvania State University, where he is also a Musical Theatre alumnus. He has led master classes and workshops at renowned dance festivals, and has worked with Tap Dance Central (formerly The American Tap Dance Foundation), where he was also an Artist-in-Residence. His experience also includes restaging work at The Juilliard School.

As both an educator and performer, Dario has worked closely with some of the field’s most respected artists, including Jared Grimes, Robert L. Reed, Michelle Dorrance, Damian Woetzel, Justin Peck, NYCB and ABT principals, Lil Buck, Ayodele Casel, Joshua Bergasse, and many more. He has performed on Broadway in Justin Peck’s Illinoise, and has performed in six off-broadway musicals. He danced across eighteen countries as a tap dance soloist in Postmodern Jukebox, worked on TV & film with the Jonas Brothers and Molly Shannon (SNL),  Bradley Cooper and Carey Mulligan (Maestro on Netflix), and more. Dario has served as a performer, educator, and choreographer at the Vail Dance Festival for nine years.

Deeply committed to honoring tap dance’s rich history and ensuring its future, Dario approaches teaching as a form of “passing it on,” as his mentors so generously passed on to him. He cultivates classrooms that are inclusive of all genders, ethnicities, and backgrounds, encouraging you to respect both the art form and one another. Each class is uniquely tailored to you, emphasizing musicality, individuality, and sustainable practice habits that extend beyond the studio. Because he continues to work professionally as a performer and choreographer, Dario is able to offer you valuable insight into the realities of building a career in the performing arts.

While his classes are focused and rigorous, Dario believes learning should always remain joyful, because at its core, dance is meant to be shared, celebrated, and enjoyed.
