Corey Baker is an award-winning choreographer, movement director and creative director working across film, television, stage, and live events.
He has collaborated with some of the world’s most renowned studios, creators, directors, and performers, including Tim Burton, Warner Bros., Lady Gaga, HBO Max, Lorde, Netflix, Mark Mylod, BBC, Dua Lipa, Disney, Lola Young, Lionsgate, Duran Duran, Channel 4, Ludovico Einaudi, NZ On Air, Billy Porter, Black Sabbath, Nowness and RuPaul.
A deeply collaborative artist, Corey brings an innovative and cinematic approach to choreography, movement direction, and creative development on every project.
His contributions to major productions such as Wednesday, Harry Potter, and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice extend beyond choreography to include physical storytelling and movement design—working closely with directors, stunt teams, actors and creature departments to develop immersive physical languages that help build entire worlds.
Corey’s choreography has helped define iconic characters and moments, from ’Dance Mom’ in Hacks, to Lady Gaga’s appearance in season 2 of Wednesday, and through his long-standing collaboration with Lola Young across concerts, music videos, and live performances.
Beyond choreography, Corey’s talents as a director and creative director have been showcased through large-scale live events and branded content. Notable credits include the Opening Ceremony of the Commonwealth Games 2022, the BRIT Awards 2025, and numerous promotional films and advertisements.
Originally from New Zealand, Corey trained as a classical dancer. He relocated to the UK in 2009 and founded Corey Baker Dance to develop his own choreographic works. In 2021, he launched Moving People Pictures, the company’s dedicated film and digital arm.
