Brittany Markle has been a part of the professional entertainment industry since the age of 9
and has been developing her love for educating young dancers ever since. With a background
of experience in many different facets of the dance world, she strives to help artists bridge the
gap from amateur to professional and thrives in providing guidance to dancers of all ages.
Brittany has spent the last 10 years traveling the country as a choreographer/teacher/mentor
for competitive dancers and has a strong niche for the jazz, lyrical, and contemporary styles.
Most recently, she has taken on an adjunct role working with Broadway Dance Center’s pre-
professional commercial dance program in New York City and signed on as a resident
contemporary/jazz choreographer for The New York Dance Project. Brittany has a proven
record of molding reliable, versatile, and employable artists while directly aiding their
continued success in the entertainment industry. Alumni under her training have gone on to
sign with leading talent agencies, international cruise lines, and join performing arts collegiate
programs for Pace University, NYU, SDSU, and USC, to name a few.
Brittany grew up in Pittsburgh, PA and quickly made her way to the stage dancing in the Radio
City Christmas Spectacular. After this incredible opportunity, she signed with MSA and started
touring with prestigious conventions, assisting names like Mandy Moore, Andy Blankebuehler,
Justin Giles, and Ray Leeper. This journey as a competitive/professional dancer led her to
pursue a career in Los Angeles working for companies like Disney, Nike, Maxim, Dick’s Sporting
Goods, Hollywood movie premieres, and more! As she transitioned toward choreography and
education, Brittany’s desire to teach became apparent and she started working for Shannon
Mather’s “Bridge into the Industry” Program, San Diego Dance Center, and Energy The
Convention. While completing her degree from Pace University, she focused on injury
prevention and sport psychology to expand her familiarity with the competitive mindset. She
has held positions as the artistic director of the SoCal competition/convention team and
choreographer for the University of Pittsburgh.
Whether you meet Brittany through a convention ballroom, a studio space, or a one-on-one
experience, you will leave feeling inspired and proud of yourself. She asks for trust and
commitment but is sure to maintain a clear balance of hard work and fun. After all, that is what
this is all about! Brittany is sought after as a judge for multiple competitions and truly enjoys
the process of building confidence through constructive and productive feedback. She will
encourage attention to detail and exploration of your movement quality. From her live theater
background, she has a passion for performance value and understanding your depths as a
storyteller. The goal is that each dancer leaves with a better sense of their capabilities and feels
compelled to continue excelling toward any or all of their dance dreams! Brittany is not just
here to teach a class or set a piece, she is here to build relationships with other creatives and
expand upon their pursuit of a nourishing foundation for each child. This new generation of
dancers needs honest and informed leaders. Brittany is happy to believe in your younger
students and is proud to surround herself with like-minded individuals.
