Brandon Leffler is an educator, choreographer and dancer currently on faculty with LA Dance Magic. He has served on faculty for Broadway Dance Center, The Performing Arts Center, The Male Dancer Conference, Broadway Connection and Broadway Classroom as well as private studios nationwide.
Broadway and Off-Broadway performing credits include: On The Town, Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella, Wicked: The Musical, Trip of Love, Fanny, The Golden Apple and Anyone Can Whistle. Brandon has also been seen across the United States with the National tours of My Fair Lady, Wicked: The Musical, A Chorus Line, and Cats.
Dance Labs and Pre-Broadway workshops have given Brandon an inside look at the creative process of many Broadway shows including: The Cher Show, Clueless: The Musical, Carousel, On The Town and Cinderella. As one of the Dance Captains for Cinderella on Broadway, Brandon taught the show choreography and put many new company members and actors into the show including: Fran Drescher, Keke Palmer and Carly Rae Jepsen.
Concert dance has been a huge part of Brandon’s journey, working with companies such as Ballet Austin, Verb Ballets, Collage Dance Collective, The Metropolitan Opera Ballet, Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company, Dancing Wheels and dre.dance.
T.V. and film credits include: National promo commercials for Wicked: The Musical and Chicago: The Musical, Goliath, 30 Rock, Saturday Night Live, Gossip Girl, Jackass Forever, the Tony Awards, and the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
For the past two years Brandon has been working as an assistant choreographer for Michael Rooney on various Film and TV projects.
After almost twenty years of performing professionally, Brandon finds purpose in sharing his vast array of experiences in service of the next generation of dancers. Brandon takes a bit of all the styles he’s worked in and infuses his choreography with clean, clear linear movement with a strong concentration on musicality, intention and story telling. He also stresses the importance of technique while always finding your individual spark that sets you apart as a true artist. Brandon also enjoys sharing tips on how to navigate a career in dance with a strong emphasis on the right attitude and professionalism. After Brandon’s class, you will leave with a deeper understanding of dance, as well as inspired to be yourself and make your mark in this industry.
