Andrew Winghart is a choreographer and director based in New York whose work is defined by a movement vocabulary rooted in scale, structure, and sensation. His approach explores the interplay between spectacle and intimacy, shifting fluidly between expansive visual worlds and precise human detail.
He has collaborated with some of the most boundary pushing artists and institutions working today, including Lorde, Solange, Billie Eilish, and Muse, with choreography spanning music videos, arena tours, and globally broadcast events such as The Academy Awards and the VMAs. His work extends into contemporary performance through projects with Cirque du Soleil and Philadelphia Ballet, as well as film collaborations including Summertime, directed by Carlos López Estrada.
Commercially, Winghart has created work for Volvo, Equinox, Motorola, Bose, and Dancing with the Stars, bringing a cinematic eye to movement driven storytelling. His direction and choreography have been recognized by Sundance, SXSW, and The Criterion Collection.
Alongside his commissioned work, Winghart maintains an ongoing personal practice of self directed films and live works that expand his broader creative direction, blurring the lines between choreography, image making, and narrative form.
