André Arthur is a visionary producer, writer, director, and choreographer known for creating everything from large-scale spectacles to intimate, emotionally charged experiences. With over fifteen years creating live entertainment, he has collaborated with leading companies including Cirque du Soleil, Dragone, Spiegelworld, Royal Caribbean, and others—pushing creative boundaries and redefining what live performance can be.
André’s journey began on stage as a world-class performer, dancing for icons such as Céline Dion (A New Day… at Caesars Palace), Jennifer Lopez, Elton John, and in multiple Cirque du Soleil productions and professional dance companies. Even early in his career, André felt the pull to create—to craft moments that made audiences feel something new. That instinct led him to direct, choreograph, and shape original works across the globe, laying the foundation for the creator he is today.
One of André’s lifelong idols was the late Franco Dragone, whose vision and ability to sculpt worlds from movement and emotion left a lasting impact on the industry. When André was invited to direct for Dragone’s company in southern China, it was a dream realized. As Director of The Dai Show in Yunnan, André created an award-winning aquatic production that fused Dai culture, high-level acrobatics, and cutting-edge projection mapping into a breathtaking spectacle—a seamless blend of visual poetry, technology, and heart.
He later collaborated with another of his creative heroes, Hans Zimmer, as writer and director of Cirque du Soleil’s One Night for One Drop at the Bellagio’s “O” Theatre. The production featured Zimmer, Blue Man Group, and acclaimed choreographers Keone and Mari Madrid, Alexander Ekman, and Andrew Winghart, and became Cirque du Soleil’s first-ever CBS primetime special.
Other career highlights include directing the immersive outdoor spectacle SAVIA in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico; the critically acclaimed off-Broadway production Gray St.; and the official Beatles music video for “While My Guitar Gently Weeps”, produced in collaboration with Apple Records.
Recently, André brought his signature style to the seas as director of Aqua Action! aboard Royal Caribbean’s Icon of the Seas, the largest cruise ship in the world. The groundbreaking aquatic show features 3D flying, 180° projections, a skateboard half-pipe, massive robotic arms, a rain curtain, and a seven-part moving water stage—pushing cruise entertainment into a new era.
Beyond large-scale spectacles, André has also made his mark in the cabaret world. As Creative Director and Choreographer with Spiegelworld—the company that redefined Las Vegas entertainment—he led the post-COVID reinvention of Absinthe, created OPM at The Cosmopolitan and The Hook in Atlantic City, and developed over 75 original acts and characters across the brand’s productions.
As a choreographer specializing in acrobatics and dance, André has breathed new life into Cirque du Soleil’s Mystère, reimagined movement, acrobatics, and projection-driven storytelling for The Beatles LOVE, and choreographed the high-energy arena show Messi10, celebrating the legacy of soccer icon Lionel Messi. His other notable works include ALLAVITA!, a vibrant six-month residency at the World Expo in Milan, and Marvel Universe Live: Age of Heroes, a blockbuster arena tour produced by Feld Entertainment.
Today, André continues to produce and direct original productions worldwide through his company A2Kreativ, where he has also been diving into the world of magic. Dedicated to pushing the boundaries of live entertainment, he continues to blend artistry, technology, and emotion to craft the next generation of unforgettable experiences.
