East coast native, Amy Morgan, is a professional choreographer and dance educator based in Los Angeles, CA. She is on faculty as a heels instructor at the famed Millennium Dance Complex, which she considers her home studio, as well as TMilly TV Studio and IAF Compound. Amy had the privilege of teaching at Debbie Reynolds Legacy Studios, IDA Hollywood and Studio School Performing Arts College as well, and is the official judge and guest teacher representing Millennium Dance Complex at the annual World Championships of Performing Arts Competition.
As a professional dancer Amy has performed on stage and in music videos with a multitude of recording artists, including Jessica Sutta, Cher Lloyd, Pia Toscano, French Montana and Beyonce. Other dance credits include the Skechers Industrial, Yahoo’s original series Sin City Saints and she had the honor of performing with Beyonce at both the Billboard awards and the MTV Video Music Awards. She has presented her own works for Jete and Club Posers in Hollywood. Choreography and teaching has become her main passion.
Amy has taught workshops in Johannesburg and Capetown, South Africa and Shanghai, China and continues to travel the world teaching Heels, Jazz Funk, Hip Hop and Contemporary. She specializes in Heels classes, focusing heavily on proper technique as well as performance. Her style of choreography is classy, groovy and fun and incorporates elements of her Hip Hop, Jazz and Contemporary backgrounds. Amy’s goal is to empower you by creating a safe space for you to dance with no judgement, allowing you to find your own confidence and love for yourself. Her ability to create a comfortable and positive learning environment is one of the things you will appreciate most about her class. Amy is always reminding you of why you love to dance in the first place, and she feels truly blessed to be able to share her knowledge, passion and love of her craft with her students in LA and all across the world.
