Fred Tallaksen is an award-winning choreographer who has brought his distinctive blend of storytelling, humor, theatricality, and precision to screens and stages worldwide for the past 30 years. Best known for his work in television comedy, character-driven performance, and large-scale entertainment, Fred has built a career that spans television, film, music videos, live events, theater, theme parks, and corporate productions.

Fred is the choreographer producers call when they need someone who understands character, comedy, story, and the miracle of getting a roomful of people, some of whom swear they can’t dance, to trust themselves and let their characters soar through movement.

With a comedy brain, a storyteller’s instincts, and the ability to think fast in the room, Fred shapes performance, solves problems on the fly, and comes up with ideas that are funny, surprising, and still grounded in character and heart. Fred has choreographed more than 250 episodes of television, and his choreography has helped shape some of the medium’s most memorable performance-driven moments. His television credits include seven seasons and the reboot of Malcolm in the Middle, The Real O’Neals, Goliath, Modern Family, X Factor, Wizards of Waverly Place, Loot, Roller Jam, American Housewife, Legion, Hot in Cleveland, The Price Is Right, Big Time Rush, Blue Collar TV, Living with Fran Drescher, Days of Our Lives, Sid the Science Kid, and Word Party.

Fred choreographed Madonna’s “Sorry” video and the finale of her Confessions Tour. He has also worked with other musical artists including JLo, Bad Bunny, Weezer, Juanes, Cee Lo Green, JADE, James Blunt, and Enrique Iglesias on stage and in award shows including the Grammy Awards, the Billboard Music Awards, the Emmy Awards, Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards, and the Music Video Producer Awards.
