Sarah Jenkins is a multi-faceted choreographer and movement director whose vast on-stage career, wicked sense of humor, and artistic eye behind the lens found her at home in the world of film and TV.
She is the choreographer for the Emmy nominated comedy series GIRLS5EVA, starring Sara Bareilles, Busy Phillips, Paula Pell & Renee Elise Goldsberry. Other television credits include UNBREAKABLE KIMMY SCHMIDT, MR. MAJOR and THE TONIGHT SHOW STARRING JIMMY FALLON. Her ability to pair character with movement has allowed her to coach and choreograph for the likes of Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Ted Danson, Carol Kane, and many other incredible actors and comedians.
Sarah’s 20+ year career as a performer include starring as Jennyanydots, the tap dancing cat in CATS revival on Broadway, Peter Pan in the remounting of JEROME ROBBINS’ BROADWAY, as well as in Cathy Rigby’s PETER PAN, eventually taking over as her successor. She spent many years as an associate choreographer and dance captain for Broadway National Tours and regional theatre, as well as choreographing shows for The Walnut Street Theatre and Busch Gardens.
Sarah is known for her broad variety of dance styles including tap, hip hop, and even Irish step dancing, all of which she honed growing up in San Diego. She’s been fortunate to travel the world as an entertainer, but is happiest on the couch with her husband and two children. (They’re dogs.)
