Devan Aischa grew up training and competing in all styles of dance from the age of three years old. Winning many awards as a competitive dancer, including the “future star award” from Starpower, won a scholarship to NYCDA intensive and more. She has been choreographing and teaching since she was 15 years old, at dance studios, dance teams, and dance companies like NDA and UDA. She continued her dance studies at Lindenwood University on a full scholarship where she competed with the Lindenwood Dance Team Lion line taking 1st place at the Hip Hop Nationals in 2009. She also trained in Ballet and Modern at the Conservatory of Dance at the University of Missouri – Kansas City while also performing with Quixotic Fusion as a dancer and aerialist.
In 2012 she made the move to Los Angeles to further her career as a professional dancer where she landed herself roles on TV shows such as Glee, The Goldberg’s, All American and Lucifer and has worked with numerous worldwide brands including Walt Disney World, Sketchers and Naked Juice. Devan has danced alongside some of the industry’s top artists like Justin Bieber, Gwen Stefani, The Jonas Brothers, Halsey, saweetie, Paula Abdul, Eve, Salt n Pepaa, Jaden Smith, Skrillex, Exo, Leslie Odom Jr., and many more.
Her dancing has taken her all over the nation and even internationally, performing in NYC at the Rockefeller Tree Lighting, numerous award shows (The Billboard Music Awards, American Music Awards, The Grammys, MTV Music Awards, European Music Awards), Television shows (The Today Show, The Ellen Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, The Voice, American Song Contest, X-Factor and more) and festivals (iHeart Radio, Tecate, British Summertime Fest, Wango Tango and more). She toured with Derek and Julianne Hough’s MOVE Live on Tour and was most notably a featured dancer, touring the world on Justin Bieber’s PURPOSE tour. Devan’s captivating stage presence, strong technique and versatility then landed her a spot on Gwen Stefani’s “I’m Just A Girl” residency in Las Vegas and can still be seen currently on stage with Gwen Stefani today. Devan’s diverse training, teaching and performance experience lends to her vast knowledge of movement, giving her a wide vocabulary to share with young dancers. Devans versatility makes her style and movement quality unique and special. Devan encourages her students to be the physical embodiment of the sound, focusing on musicality, storytelling, movement quality, textures, technique and performance. Devan always strives to create a safe environment for her dancers to explore, evolve, and be themselves. Devan wants to inspire, spread magic and push her students to grow and not be afraid to push themselves past the uncomfortable to evolve to the next level of their abilities.
