Originally born in Guadalajara Mexico, choreographer Rodrigo Basurto utilizes his connection to music in order to develop a unique approach to dance. Emerging at a young age, his attention to street styles greatly influenced his choreographic pursuits. While establishing his career as a professional dancer, Rodrigo gained the opportunity to choreograph for Canadian artist, Danny Fernandes through the Much Music Awards. Through his work on the reality show La Banda (Univision Latin Network), Rodrigo launched his name into the entertainment industry. Rodrigo soon caught the eye of creative director Brian Burk, eventually collaborating on shows such as American Idol and America’s Got Talent.Following his television industry work, he also became the choreographer for the Latin sensation boyband CNCO. With more than 10 years of experience in the entertainment industry, Rodrigo continues to choreograph for music videos, live concerts, and television. Rodrigo is inspiring young artists and dancers to believe that anything is possible when combining preparation, passion, and desire in order to follow their dreams.
