Nika Kljun—world renowned choreographer, dancer and influencer—was born and raised in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Her parents own the well established dance school, Bolero Dance Center. Nika, who is now the Slovenian Ambassador of Dance, gained global respect and paved the way for many dancers when she was the first to demonstrate that it is possible for a dancer from a small country, such as Slovenia, to achieve international success. Nika has been the recipient of many awards and accolades from Slovenian press and media, and has graced the front covers of several magazines, such as Cosmopolitan Magazine. When she moved to Los Angeles, her career skyrocketed.
As a dancer, Nika has worked on major projects with Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, Pitbull, Justin Bieber, Ne-Yo, Jason DeRulo, and many more. Nika has also been featured in several high profile award shows, such as the MTV Video Music Awards, the Billboard Music Awards, and the American Music Awards. She performed live on the primetime television shows, America’s Got Talent, Dancing with the Stars, The Voice, and The X- Factor. Nika is also known for her performance on the Move Live Tour (featuring Derek and Julianne Hough).
Nika has also created an impressive resume as a choreographer. She choreographed for Britney Spears for her Las Vegas Residency, “Domination”, and for Paula Abdul’s “Forever Your Girl” Las Vegas Residency. Nika also put her creative skills to work when she choreographed for Abdul’s historic performance on the 2019 Billboard Music Awards. She also choreographed and co-creative directed (along with Abdul) Paula Abdul’s one-hour-long Los Angeles Pride 2019 performance, and acted as creative director for her performance at the NFL 100th Anniversary (Private) Party in Las Vegas (2019). She continues to work closely with the icon on several upcoming projects. Nika’s work was also featured in the 2018 FIFA World Cup Closing Ceremony, (featuring Will Smith and Nicky Jam). Additionally, she choreographed a number for the Ellen Show, (featuring Sean Hayes—star of Will and Grace) and for Mickey Mouse’s 90th Birthday Spectacular (ABC). Her choreography can also be seen on America’s Got Talent and on So You Think You Can Dance. These are only a few of Kljun’s most recent and notable credits.
Nika continues to teach weekly at Millennium Dance Complex in Los Angeles, and tours with Jump! Dance Convention, educating thousands of dancers a month. She also often travels internationally with many dance camps, sharing her knowledge and choreography. Grateful to be in a position to inspire and influence on a global level, Nika cherishes precious moments with her students. Her uplifting spirit and genuine love for dance are simply contagious.
