Bio

Ambitious and creative, Kristin McQuaid is one of today’s hottest choreographers & creative directors. For more than 15 years, she has wowed audiences as a choreographer, dancer, designer, actor, and has just added creative director to that list.

Kristin was born in Marlton, New Jersey and moved 9 times, including a stop in Denver where she discovered her love for dance at 11 years old. The daughter of a salesman, they eventually settled in Southern California where her dance career blossomed. Choreographing dances in her driveway at a young age, she always knew she wanted to create and choreograph. She was full of dreams and life, and did everything in her power to make them come true.

This dynamo made her acting debut in the feature film Beautiful staring Minnie Driver, was also featured in Zombie Prom produced by Wes Craven, and graced the small screen with recurring appearances in Days of our Lives and American Dreams. Early in her career, she kept busy starring in several national commercials and appeared in music videos and live performances with top artists such as Prince, Britney Spears, and Mark McGrath.

Kristin’s dazzling and versatile choreography has made her a sought after talent. With her fun loving and high-energy personality on set, she promises to leave audiences entertained and wanting more. She began her choreography career with a full-length professional show, “Choosing Sin” to a sold out audience in Los Angeles. In 2015, Kristin was honored to win the choreographer’s TV show Make A Move and her work has been featured in the Capezio A.C.E. awards and TV commercials for brands including Vlado Footwear and Old Spice, and most recently, a national and digital Best Buy campaign. Her work was also seen on FOX’s hit, So You Think You Can Dance and fan favorite, Dance Moms.

Kristin has left her digital imprint on pop culture by having her choreography go viral with such talent as 4-year-old online star Boss Baby Brody, Radio Disney stars Cameron McLeod and DJ Lela B. Currently, you can see her choreography in season 2 of BRAT TV’s series “Dirt” where her direction adds energy to the scenes.

A versatile talent, Kristin was the choreographer and creative director for animation video “Tug A War. Love vs. Career. Freddie Mercury Loves Mary But Does He Loves His Job More,” a project that gave her the confidence to follow her new path. She became the creative director for teen sensation, Nia Sioux’s music videos and live stage shows, which included her Vidcon performances on the YouTube stage, and also worked with singer and online super star, Annie LeBlanc’s performances at the Girls Life and “Annie Lebling” concerts. Kristin is working as creative director and choreographer of Island Records’s newest performer, IamNotShane tour & Atlantic performing artist Ava Max’s “DanceOn” project.

Keeping the momentum going, Kristin’s dance short film “Florets,” which was inspired by Grace Vanderwaal music, garnered her the “Best Video” award at Olympus Film Festival, Gold Movie Awards, Hollywood Blvd Film Festival, and the Los Angeles Film Awards. Other nominations included Universal Dance Awards, Sunset Film Festival Los Angeles, Los Angeles Movie Awards. Her natural next step is developing and producing original content and has a few projects in the works.

Currently, Kristin splits her time between Oklahoma and California. She resides with her husband and two Scottie dogs, Dexter and Deuce. Kristin loves to go fishing and spend time with her family at the movies. She’s a huge animal lover and actively a part of the ASPCA.
