Christina’s goal through makeup is to create looks that feel timeless, iconic and expensive. This is the gold standard she holds herself to when approaching a face. Her passion for makeup started at an early age. Growing up as a dancer, Christina was already applying fake eyelashes on her and her friends at the age of 8 for dance recitals. Through her love of dance, her love of makeup grew right alongside it. She moved to LA to chase her passion of becoming a Professional Dancer and soon realized that with hard work and dedication her passion for makeup could turn into a profession, as well. She took a number of celebrity makeup artist courses and practiced on tons of friends— exploring different face shapes, textures and skin tones. Through honing in on her craft, word spread and the demand grew for Christina’s services as a Makeup Artist. This was the birth of ‘Beat by Barras.’ Today you can find faces Beat by Barras in commercials for Petco, Proactiv, Easton, Mazda, and Staples, on television for Super Bowl 2022 for the on-air sports reporters, featured in music videos for Snoop Dogg, Wale, Blxst and more, printed in editorial magazines such as Schon, Rival and Face and she continues to glam the industry’s leading Choreographers and Creatives for photoshoots, press and more.
