28th Annual Fred & Adele Astaire Awards
The 28th Annual Fred & Adele Astaire Awards (formerly known as the Astaire Awards) honors excellence in dance and choreography for stage and in film.
 
Lucille DiCampli with Nicole Chantal de WeeverSeveral MSA clients have been nominated for awards this year.  In the fictional film choreography category, Marguerite Derricks for her work on Fame, and Lula Washington for Avatar; In the stage female dancer category, Nicole Chantal de Weever (pictured left) for Fela; And in the documentary film director category, Kenny Ortega for This Is It.
 
Kenny OrtegaAdditionally, Ortega will be honored at the event, and receive the prestigious Douglas Watt Lifetime Achievement Award.
 
Established in 1982, the Fred & Adele Astaire Awards will take place on June 7th in Manhattan.
